A delicious woodblock matrix print, done on Japanese Mulberry paper.
Working from a custom, high-resolution digital image, then engraved onto a woodblock. The block/image has a unique half-tone, in order to obtain the comic book/newpaper print look, in addition to having the characteristics of a block print, with its delicate embossment.
Printed using a platen + roller press, using archival black printing ink. The Japanese Mulberry paper is 45g, unsized Kozo + sulfite mix, with a subtle laid-pattern.
